Bread sticks

Last Saturday I baked some bread sticks. They are very simple to make, with few ingredients that you almost always have at home ..... and very delicious as a snack or together with a  steaming hot soup .... I like them best freshly made, when they are still a little lukewarm and soft. Enjoyed some in front of the fireplace, watching the snow falling outside the window .... Loved it!

Recipe for about 24 pcs.
25 grams of yeast
2.5 lukewarm water
5.5 cups flour
2 tsp salt
5 tablespoons canola oil
salt flakes (for garnish)
Here's how: Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water (37 degrees C). Stir in half of the flour first, salt and oil. Add the remaining flour and mix to a smooth dough. Let rise under a cloth until doubled in size, about 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Divide the dough into two and roll out the approximately 0.5 cm thickness. Cut long strips 1 cm wide, brush with water and sprinkle with sea salt. Turn the strips and place on baking sheet before baking in the oven for about 20 minutes until they are golden brown. If you want your breadsticks brittle at once, you can let them dry out in the oven a little.
