Heart breakers

I can not get enough of the heart-shaped cookies and pastries, especially when it must be baked for Valentines day. Same cake base as the "Hearts on yarn" (see previous post), but in a little more luxurious variant.

Cake base:
200 grams butter,
4 eggs,
5 cups sugar,
2 tsp vanilla sugar,
2 pinches of salt
1 cup cocoa;
3 cups flour.
Vanilla Cream:
4 egg yolks,
6 cups milk,
6 tablespoons sugar,
2 tablespoons potato flour,
2 vanilla beans.
Here's how:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Melt the butter. Cover a baking tray with baking paper (about 25x35 cm). Whip eggs and sugar. Use the electric mixer. Add the flour, cacao, salt and melted butter and stir until smooth. Add vanilla sugar. Spread the paste in the pan with the parchment paper. Bake in oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes.
Prepare the vanilla cream like this: Split the vanilla pod and scrape the seeds into a saucepan. Mix in remaining ingredients and whisk by hand. Let the mixture simmer while whisking, until the custard thickens. Let cool completely before using it..

Fill each chocolate base with a little vanilla cream and garnish according to taste. I used chocolate, molded in silicone molds.
