Jelly worms

We continue in the same Helloween theme with a bunch of jelly worms. The first attempt to do this was a total disaster ..... had too much color and they got all black, looked more like leeches than worms .... second attempt went better ... and a whole lot less swearing .. .... the idea is really fun... and good for those who like jelly. I stick to chocolate, however.

Have a few straws tied with a string. Put those with the knurled end down in a glass. Use a higher glass that does not leave much space around the straws. This is so that when you pour the gel, the liquid will go through the straws and fill the glass. Prepare a bag of jelly powder with hot juice (I use red juice to get both flavor and color) and pour into the strows. They filled about half, depending on how high the glasses are and how many straws you use. Set in the fridge for one hour or until the gel has solidified. Scrape off the gel that is outside the straws and then you can easily squeeze out the worms, one by one. You can also flush some hot water on, they will come out easier.
