Norwegian kromkaker

Today's post is about Norwegian kromkaker which is often baked for Christmas, but I was so very eager to make some now ...... and it turned out to be perfect to have with us on our ski vacation, as snacks. Simple to make, with few ingredients, but you need to have the special iron to get the beautiful pattern on them. Had to borrow my mother in law´s and she did promised that I will inherit it the day she no longer needs it. Note that it's good to have a pair of mittens on you hands when you roll them after baking, otherwise you will burne your fingertips. They harden very quickly, so be quick to roll them. We used also as ice cream cones as well. Perfect.

Recipes for about 30pcs.
4 eggs
200 grams of sugar
200 grams of melted butter
1 tsp cardamom
5 cups flour
Here is how: Beat eggs and sugar for a few minutes. Add the melted butter, spices and flour. Continue whisking a little while longer, and you are ready to bake them. Feel free to use gloves when you will roll them because it is easy to burn your fingers. Scroll quickly direktly after they are baked, as they harden very quickly. You can also choose not to roll them.
