It is no secreat that I love sweets .... and that I love to try out new things all the time. It is amazing how much there is to learn in the meantime. Those chocolate bars in four different layers has climbed directly up to one of my favorites. Very American-inspired sweet, which I'm certain you can find in many different varieties .... but here you can have my own interpretation of it. Enjoy !!!!

Recipe for about 20-25 pieces.
Layer 1 - brownie
100 grams of dark chocolate
50 grams of butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
0.6 cups flour
one-fourth teaspoon baking powder
Here's how: Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave, 30 seconds at a time until everything is well mixed. Remove and add the sugar. Whisk for a couple of minutes and then add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla extract. Continue whisking and add flour and baking powder. Pour the batter into a baking pan of 20x20cm which you have covered with baking paper. Bake at 175 degrees C for 20 minutes. Let cool completely afterwards.

Layer 2 - Caramel Crisp
35 pcs Werther's Original candies
1 tbsp evaporated milk
1 tablespoon water
0.7 dl crisp rice cereals
Here is how: Mix candies, evaporated milk and water in a bowl and heat in the microwave for about 1.5 minutes. Mix after each 30 seconds, so that it does not burn. When everything has melted and is well mixed, bring out the plate from the microwave and mix in the Crisp rise cereals. Spread caramel over the brownie layer and place in the freezer until layer 3 is finished.
Layer 3 - Nougat
40 grams of butter
1.3 cups granulated sugar
0.5 cups evaporated milk
1 can (196 grams) marshmallow fluff
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
Here's how: Mix butter, sugar and evaporated milk in a saucepan. Bring to boil under constant whisking. Turn down the heat on the stove and let the nougat simmer for 10 minutes without stirring anymore. Meanwhile, mix the marshmallow fluff with peanut butter. Pour the hot nougat over the marshmallow mixture and whisk it all together. Spread the nougat on layer 2 with caramel and place back in the freezer.

Layer 4 - Chocolate
200 grams of milk chocolate
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons cream
Here's how: Melt chocolate and cream in the microwave. Stir in 30-second intervals. When the chocolate has melted, add the butter and stir in until everything is well mixed. Spread chocolate over layer 3 with nougat and place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours. I thought it was at best a few days after.
